A SCAM text message claiming the receiver has have been in contact with someone with Omicron has been appearing in Worcestershire.

The text claims to be from the NHS's test and trace service and is being used to access personal and financial information.

A Worcestershire Trading Standards spokesperson said: "We have received reports of scam text messages claiming to be from NHS Test and Trace.

"They state you are a contact of someone who has tested positive for Omicron and must book a home test kit.

"Don't click the link; they are after your personal and financial information."
